“Painting is my escape - a joyful moment transforming emotions and inner thoughts onto canvas. Subsequently connecting me to the drama of life, intermittently as a quiet observer.”

The Hydrangeas and the Marsh Hen Acrylic on canvas 40cm x 40cm 2024 'On a walk through the gardens, such friend I did meet. Well two to be precise, standing right there by my feet. There in the Hydrangeas, picking a feast just for two, was Mrs Marsh Hen and her husband with tummies of blue. They stood in the shade of the beautiful blooms, a pick here, a peck there, cleaning the grass like two legged brooms. I turned to leave and I smiled, at our private picnic spot, and thought I hope they'll still be there, when I return to that charm filled plot. Cat Jardine 2024
There is a thief at my window Acrylic on canvas 70cm x 40cm 2024 'There is a thief at my window, out there, can't you see? Brazenly stripping the bright green treasures straight off my tree! Enveloped in colours so vibrant and bright, it's impossible to miss them right there in plain sight. Ducking and diving, So gleeful they seem, with no regard for anyone - straight out of a dream. Or nightmare p'haps, but either way, it does seem, I will not keep my apples this season - nope - none for me!'

The Faeries Oil on canvas 60cm x 40cm 2026 'There are moments that happen, where creatures take hold. Of your mind, of your heart, it can't be foretold. They pull at the thread of your confidence and trust, they gnaw at your energy and tear away at your crust. So think of them as children, or Faeries, or folk. Not meaning to destroy, but merely provoke. Laugh with them in jest, poke fun at chagrin. For we all carry these creatures, these Faerie folk within'. Cat Jardine 2026

I sit in the garden 50cm x 90cm Acrylic on canvas 2024 'I sit in the garden to find my own 'me', that person inside who wants to break free. Away from the tiresome, tedious tech, away from the cynics and all of that mess. Give me a garden with trees so tall and so wise, with branches that creak, and speak, and hypothesise. A garden a-plenty of bright flowers and chooks, that bring life and laughter (and maybe some books!) A garden is counsel, is therapy, a place to be free. But mostly a garden is everything to me. I sit in the garden to find my own 'me'. Come sit down beside me, right here, under this tree'. Cat Jardine 2024
